Personalized support for your fertility journey

Whether you're just beginning to plan for a family, have been trying to conceive for some time, or are already working with a fertility clinic, naturopathic medicine can provide personalized support along the way.

At True Health Integrative Clinic, our Naturopathic Doctors take a whole-person approach to fertility, looking at nutrition, hormones, menstrual cycles, lifestyle, stress, sleep, digestive health, and other factors that may influence reproductive health.

Our goal is to help you better understand your health, identify areas that may be affecting fertility, and develop a personalized plan to support your reproductive health and overall wellbeing.

Naturopathic fertility care can be used on its own or alongside conventional fertility care, including IUI and IVF.

Supporting both egg & sperm health

Fertility is not solely a woman's health concern. Both egg and sperm health contribute to conception and a healthy pregnancy.

Our approach may include personalized nutrition, lifestyle recommendations, targeted supplementation, and other evidence-informed strategies to support reproductive health for both partners.

For male fertility, this may include consideration of factors such as sperm concentration, motility, morphology, and other aspects of sperm health when relevant.

Complementary support during IUI & IVF

Naturopathic care can also be used alongside assisted reproductive technologies such as IUI and IVF.

If you're already working with a reproductive endocrinologist or fertility clinic, our Naturopathic Doctors can provide complementary support focused on nutrition, lifestyle, stress management, supplementation, and other appropriate naturopathic therapies.

We believe conventional and naturopathic care can work together. Our goal is not to replace your fertility specialist, but to complement your existing care and support your health throughout the process.

Understanding your fertility

Fertility can be influenced by many interconnected factors. Rather than focusing on a single symptom or hormone, our practitioners take time to understand your complete health picture.

Depending on your individual needs, assessment may include a review of:

Menstrual cycle and ovulation
Understanding your cycle can provide valuable information about ovulation, hormone patterns, and your fertile window.

Hormonal health
Hormones involved in ovulation, menstruation, thyroid function, and reproductive health may be assessed when clinically appropriate.

Nutrition and nutrient status
Adequate nutrition and key nutrients play an important role in reproductive health. Your practitioner can help identify potential nutritional gaps and determine whether supplementation may be appropriate.

Digestive health
Digestive concerns and nutrient absorption can influence overall health and nutritional status. Supporting digestive function may be an important part of your fertility plan.

Lifestyle and stress
Sleep, exercise, stress, alcohol, smoking, environmental exposures, and other lifestyle factors can all be considered as part of a comprehensive fertility assessment.
